RWUL Independent Filmmaking Mentoring
RWUL provides filmmaking workshops, production assistance, grant writing resources, and more to independent filmmakers worldwide. We work with our partners within the independent film community to help give independent filmmakers resources for making their films.
High School Initiative
RWUL High School Film Iniative in Brooklyn High Schools This initiative for RWUL was started in the summer of 2010. RWUL members coordinate screenings of independent films for high school students in Brooklyn New York and discuss topics within filmmaking, cultural awareness, and more.
RWUL Film Project Vanishing Seeds from Haiti to Ghana
RWUL co-produced the film Vanishing Seeds Haiti in 2010 and is currently helping produce Vanishing Seeds Ghana. Click the picture to link directly to the Vanishing Seeds website for more information.
RWULTV
RWUL will produce an online web TV series under the umbrella organization; BGNB Productions. The online tv series will include channels that feature documentaries, interviews, and film festival information. The online web television series will start in April 2011.
I Luv Africa Film Series
RWUL's film series program ” I Luv Africa” is a film series that shares unique stories about African people and culture while shattering stereotypes often associated with African cultures and cinema. Through the media of film, the "I Luv Africa" film series also helps start dialog around current issues in Africa screening provocative documentaries, vivid narrative films, and hosting powerful discussions featuring independent filmmakers and community activists.
